I Mean ... Just ... W o O w!
For the money I spent on this guitar as my first electric guitar to learn on? It's AWESOME. I already have an acoustic and wanted something that was more conducive to classic rock music and rifts. I don't need all the bells and whistles for my first electric guitar while I'm learning and this was what I settled on. It has two tone controls and two volume controls on the body. Perfect for any beginner. I paired it with a 20G Front Man Fender amplifier. This is a great pick for a beginner or intermediate player. The quality is amazing. The fretboard was in perfect condition as were the frets and body. All mahogany body, Laurelwood fret board with perfectly polished fret ends and polished crowns. I adjusted the truss rod, lowered the string action height, tuned it and played it with the strings it came with. Wow! Great sound right out of the box. I bought some Ernie Ball Slinky strings to replace the factory strings but I think I'll wait a while since the strings it came with are pretty darn good. UPDATE: This guitar is worth it folks! It's been almost 2 months now and after a few more tweaks to my bridge, stop end, and some new "Slinky" strings I am still in love. The sound is smooth; the notes are as clean as you want or as dirty as you want with proper amp settings. Note: If your amp does not have reverb then just add a 40 dollar pedal. The sound is so much better with reverb. The EPI LP E1 with its zebra coil pick ups can hold their own with a $1K guitar any day. Ceramic pick ups have come a long way and will compete with the best of them without any unwanted sound interruptions.

Great value . Perfect beginner to intermediate guitar
Just a heads up if you are buying this as a gift for a new guitar player it is a great guitar but it doesn't come with anything else it's just the guitar. A little about my self I have played guitar for about 20 years now I have ok guitar tech skills and I feel that this a perfect beginner to intermediate guitar . It came out of the box set up perfectly I just tuned it up and it was ready to rock. If you don't want to mess with paying someone to set up your guitar. Or having to do it your self this is the perfect guitar in this price range. The pickups are ceramic they have ok clean tones pretty good metal/hard rock tones they are good but not great. The rest of the electronics are sold. Plastic nut it's actually pretty good. The tuners are ok they hold tune. I use fender 10 to 46 strings and they sit perfectly in the nut . The guitar sounds great even unplugged it has great tone. The guitar I got is pretty light I haven't put it on a scale but I would guess in the 6.5 to 7.5 range. So I find my self playing standing up more with a lighter guitar.

Nice guitar
I'm surprised how nice this guitar is, it's beautiful, plays well as far as I can tell, waiting on amp. But the quality blows my mind for such a cheap priced guitar. Way to go epiphone, I'll probably change pickups to Seymour Duncan's greenie series. Still one hell of a nice guitar!

Arrived with a broken E string.
The guitar was packed well in the original box and wrapped in plastic. The original box was then packed inside a larger box stuffed with craft paper. There didn't appear to be any shipping damage but unfortunately upon unpacking the guitar, I discovered the high E string was broken. Not a big deal, but disappointing that I couldn't play it out of the box. I was planning on restringing with Ernie Ball Super Slinky's anyway. Beautiful guitar otherwise and sounds fantastic.
