Easy to use and effective
I bought this mostly as a quick and easy alternative for ironing fabrics I've had in storage for sewing, but I decided to test it out on some laundry I'd left in the basket too long before hanging. It took a bit longer at first, to get the hang of using it, but it was still faster than ironing, and way easier without needing to get out an ironing board and making space. I just hung the garment and made a few passes, smoothing as I went with my hand. You can see how much better it looks after just my first attempt at using. I got it a bit too close in places which made the fabric wet, but it dried quickly and without wrinkles. I'm excited to have this on hand from now on when hanging laundry, in case anything's become wrinkled in the meantime.I highly recommend this product. It's a great size for storing out of the way and to hold easily in the hand without tiring while using. It heats up quickly and even on the low steam setting worked way quicker than an iron and with less hassle. It would pack easily for trips, too, and the light weight wouldn't bulk down luggage.

One Week Honest Review
I've had my YIKA Clothes Steamer for a week now. It's my very first steamer so I have nothing else to compare it to. That said, I love it! I especially like the disinfecting aspect of steaming. So after a ton of research I settled on YIKA mainly for the positive reviews, low cost and the fact that it's the only steamer I know of that features a ceramic sole plate which is superior to stainless steel. It does exactly what its' intended to do and does it well. Of course only time will tell as to its' durability. So far it's paid for itself many times over. How you may ask? I was able to pull old clothes from the back of my closet which I've stopped wearing because they were so wrinkled and gave myself a new wardrobe!Yes mine came with a bit of moisture in the water tank. But the manufacturer also states in 50 different places that every unit goes through a QC check to make sure it is working properly and that the moisture is the result, which I can accept. It doesn't mean they send out used products. So for those that rate one star because of THAT, I say that that is unfair.Like most people, my first attempts at steaming were a bit awkward. There is a learning curve. But now that I have more experience I can now steam 2-3 garments in one sitting before having to refill the tank. I find myself looking for garments to steam just for fun.I found a fast and easy way to do the shirt sleeves; With the shirt's FRONT facing you, hold one sleeve over the chest so that the BACK of the sleeve is facing you. Steam that out then repeat for the other side. This is a great way to finish the sides as well! I use a clothespin to hold the sleeves to avoid getting burned by steam. Other tips; Don't steam as if you're painting a fence, go SLOW. Even hold it for one second over stubborn wrinkles. Use ONLY distilled water. You will actually get more steam and zero sputtering with distilled water over tap water. Five out of five stars!

Nice Steamer
This steamer has a nice big tank. You don't want anything smaller unless maybe you do a lot of traveling and need to fit it in to a bag because this steamer is large and also a bit heavy. I am new to steaming but it didn't take long to get the hang of it with this steamer. There is a switch to turn off the steam while you adjust your garment and two setting for steam. The steamer works well when you have an item that needs or you want to steam flat. I just put it on the ironing board and went to work - no issues. Nice long cord and the tank is super easy to remove and fill. Don't really understand the little brush attachment. Tried it on a couple things and it didn't do much. Overall I am happy with the steamer and the price.

Works great but a little heavy
We use this steamer to keep our photography backdrops looking pristine and also sometimes for clothes, it works GREAT!. It doesn't sputter and provides consistent steam, removing even stubborn wrinkles in a couple of passes. The large-capacity water chamber means it runs longer between fillings but it also means this steamer is heavier than those with smaller capacities. It's light by most standards but my arms were sore by the time I was finished. If I was planning to use it a lot or use it for travel I'd want one that was smaller and lighter, but this steamer does a great job removing wrinkles without wetting the fabric. As others have said, the water chamber was slightly damp when it arrived from the quality-control testing they do at the factory. We've found it's impossible to get all the water out of the container because of it's design - it's meant to not leak, and the closing tab definitely keeps it from spilling or leaking but also makes it hard to completely empty the reservoir for travel or storage. When I bagged it up for backdrop touch-ups at a location photo shoot, it didn't leak during transport even when the reservoir was over half-full. Good quality, especially at this price!

Why not to buy!
Purchased this in July 2022, this worked great in the beginning but I didn’t need it very often; it wasn’t even used on a monthly basis but died after 2 years. I don’t recommend this item. I even used distilled water in it to cut down on mineral deposits to aid in the longevity of this steamer but it didn’t help .
