This blue cornmeal is an excellent, excellent product. My wife and I can't decide if we like this blue cornmeal better, or the red cornmeal produced from the same farm, but I think you'll be happy with either product. It has just the right grind, wonderful flavor, and a tad of crunchiness that really adds to the cornbread made with this product. The cornbread recipe on the back of the package yields a very flavorful, sweet cornbread that our family loves. Once you use this cornmeal, it's hard to go back to the common commercial varieties.

Yes, even with the preferred-not shipping charge, this stuff is worth it, amazing! I just follow the recipe on the bag. How to describe —- It’s beautiful, both rustic and elegant, has great depth of fresh flavor and a pleasing combination of whole-grainy and just-right density, and it’s moist. I store the balance of the cornmeal in the fridge, in its bag , for months. Imbues the cook with a bit of the pioneer spirit.

This organic Hopi blue corn cornmeal is marvelous! I buy 3 packages at a time to make sure I have backups in my freezer.I savor each bite of the cornbread I make with it.

This and the Blue Hopi cornmeal is by far the best cornmeal any of us have tasted anywhere. It's great for frying and kind of gives a boost to the taste. We used to use Quaker, tried several organic cornmeals, and thought we had some good ones we liked. We tried this because I thought the different type would be interesting and the older strains are interesting, but I think we were all shocked at the taste difference in comparison. Going back to what we used to get now, especially the degerminated junk, would feel like a hardship or like it's missing something (it is!).If this review sounds a little bit too glowing, there's a reason for that. It's really good, and I'm picky....so to make me sit here and write this is saying something. But if it was as bad as it was good, I'd be ranting so it's not fair if I don't give them the kudo's they deserve.We ordered 1 lbs of Bloody Butcher Cornmeal and 5 Lbs of Blue Hopi. We liked it so much and went through it so fast that we doubled the last order. ...should give you an idea.

It arrived with a nice note which was a surprising and welcome touch. I really like the texture, a little coarse. It is really a wonderful product and I will buy again. We brought in all the tomatoes yesterday and made soup. The blue cornbread on the side was the perfect touch. There might be one small serving of soup left but the cornbread is gone!

I only use this cornmeal for breakfast cereal, but it is the best I have tried.

It isn't easy finding Hopi blue cornmeal off the reservation, so this product is much welcomed. No matter how you use cornmeal -- as a breakfast substitute for oatmeal or for corn bread of whatever, this does the tasty trick! I've ordered many times and always come back for more.
