I'm so happy with my Instant Pot Vortex Plus XL 8QT Air Fryer
I'm so glad I went with this Instant Pot Vortex Plus XL 8QT Air Fryer. I had been using an Emeril Lagasse 25-Quart Dual Zone Air-Fryer Oven, which was nice but I wasn't thrilled with it.This Instant Pot Vortex is very near perfect. All functions are so easy to use. It's easy to adjust the time and or Temp on the fly by pressing the basket number, the Time and or Temp button, make the adjustment using the knob, then press Start. You DO NOT need to Cancel out and input new settings! I do wish that the Temperature for the Air Fry setting, would go up to 450º rather than just 400º, that makes AF foods that recommend 450º take a longer time, but other that that, like I said, it's a near perfect appliance. It's also very easy to keep the baskets clean...a quick hot water/soapy sponge or cloth wash and you're ready for the next use.I have made canned biscuits several times and I do find that baking for the recommended time is at least 4-5 minutes too long so I have cut back the bake time by at least that much. And if I want to do a grilled cheese sandwich or just toast using the Broil setting (which does go through a Preheat cycle), I put the bread/sandwich in the basket at the beginning with the time set for 1 minute. As it's Preheating, it's toasting a perfect golden brown while Preheating, then flip it over and it's browned perfectly even before the 1 minute is up. If the function you choose has a Preheat cycle, it only takes a couple of minutes for it to get through the Preheat. I love that the outer sides, top, and front (especially the chrome band) DOES NOT GET HOT. The light is decent and the see through "windows" on the baskets are really nice but the handles do obstruct the view in the windows to observe the browning...only redesigning the handle can correct that but it's easy enough to just pull out the draw for a quick look and push it back in. Also, if you have to pull either drawer out and you're cooking in both drawers and using Sync Finish or Sync Cook setting, the Time will stop counting down on both drawers so it won't mess up the Sync setting timing. The time will resume counting down when the pulled out draw is pushed and latched back in. I find that it's pretty darn quiet while operating, even when I have my hearing aids turned up to full volume, I can hardly hear it operating but the reminder to turn the food over is very easy to hear even when my hearing aids are set at mid range. The interior light(s) will automatically come on at and throughout the last minute of cook time, other than that you will need to press the light button manually if you want to view progress through the basket window. The slant angle of the panel area is very well thought out and that makes it much easier to see and use...it's nice that it doesn't just square off and drop down with all the controls in the front. I love that the panel is uncluttered, clean, easy to read and easy to use. It's a beautiful appliance. A quick wipe keeps the outside clean. I did not experience any "off gassing" that others mentioned. And I LOVE that it has a much smaller footprint than the Lagasse Dual Zone Air Fryer, that I am now selling.I have mine on my Stainless Steel top portable cart. I definitely recommend this beautiful appliance so put it in your cart and make that purchase!

This was a great purchase. The only negative is the initial off-gassing.
This is my first air fryer, but after a couple months of solid use, it’s completely changed how I cook and heat certain foods. The dual independent baskets feature seems essential. The Sync Cook and Sync Finish features are excellent. It’s also very easy to clean.Along with this air fryer, I bought a pack of non-bleached paper liners. I find them completely unnecessary and actually hinder the effectiveness of the fryer. They're also a little dangerous, as once the fan started up the air can force them up toward the element. Some people have mentioned not being able to make certain adjustments once a cycle has begun, but this is not true with the 8qt (I can’t attest to the 6qt model). Just select your basket, choose Time or Temp, and make your adjustment (hit Start to apply). This is such a good air fryer. The only negative comment I have about the product is that I had to take the fryer outside and run it 8 times (400F/20 mins) before I dared cook food in it. The off-gassing was incredible, as other reviewers have mentioned. Easily the worst of any appliance I’ve owned.

Buy it today!
We enjoyed our single basket air dryer a great deal. We researched double baskets and understand why this one was so highly rated. We are glad we upgraded and it works perfectly - all of our dishes finish cooking together.

Functions are simple, tons of recipes to experiment with and so easy to clean
I was skeptical about using an air fryer but wow, I love it. It’s better than microwave just takes a bit longer and can cook everything! Well sorta, I’m on a kick looking up recipes for all kinda of dishes. It also cleans up so easy

Great air fryer
Great air fryer does more than what I expected and easy to use... it's no different than the bigger named brands...

We like it!
I resisted for a long time. I did not want another appliance taking up space on my counter. My oven and stove top have served me well for many years. There is a void with these things, and that is with fried foods. I do not deep fry foods in my kitchen. The void is filled with the airfryer. My airfryer has a bake and dehydrate feature, and I might probably use these occasionally. If you want to reheat leftover french fries or other fried foods, it’s great. If you buy frozen foods and cook them in your oven, the airfryer is 100x better. There is a place for airfryer cooking in your kitchen.

Why didn't I buy this sooner?
As someone who does not really enjoy cooking - this is a game changer. It cooks fish, vegetables, meat, potatoes, grilled cheese perfectly. It takes on a couple of minutes to heat up. The baskets are plenty large for a single or double meal depending on what you're cooking. This is also a great quick way to heat up food - including home made dog food. Now, I'm beginning to enjoy cooking. There is one thing to note, this is a large appliance and it's a little heavy. You wouldn't want to pull it out daily for use - transferring it from cabinet to counter. So if you don't have a lot of counter space, you might consider the smaller 4 qt or less. It would be a lot more manageable and still get the job done.
