Hozelock1866 1240 Ecopower Plus 10,000

Excellent product and value: we had a large new pond (3000 litters) that was clouding over after one month. This filter sorted in in 4 days and it’s stayed clear since (5 months after installation)... I am a bit slow at reviews!!!

Bit complicated to put together with no information the plastic things are tiny

This is the third filter box I have purchased, but it is the first from Hozelock. The UV light seems to be ok but the filter part does not inspire me with confidence.I will see hoe effective it filters in the spring next year.

I've just had this delivered, so can't comment on what it's like to set up yet. It will be next weekend before I try to set it up. However, that said, the filter box is tiny. I think it's smaller than my FX6.There's no way on earth this thing will support 20,000L, 10,000L, probably not even 200L. I think these claims as to literage should be investigated as it's just misleading the end consumer at the end of the day. The 20,000L version wasn't cheap by any stretch.In terms of supplied filter media, it's come with two very, very thin blue sponges that are maybe worth a tenner and some bio-balls. The filter might support a couple of fish, but I doubt it. I planned to use this as an upgrade to my existing filter, but no chance of that happening. I'll have to use the two together, or return this one for something actually fit for purpose. Also, it came fitted with a European plug... not the end of the world, but I ordered it from the UK.It feels flimsy, and there is no seal on the lid, so if your flow is too high, be careful, it'll spew water everywhere. There are two outlets from what it looks like and one inlet at the bottom (at least this is the order I'd do it in) to ensure that the outlets far exceeds the inlet pressure.Anyway, I'll update once I get it running.End note, disappointed.

Easy to clean

Bought this as an upgrade to a smaller filter that wasn't coping. This plus a Pure pond bomb sorted out the green water nicely.

Prompt delivery, easy to install, perfectly clear pond within 7 days.

I decided to upgrade my pond filter as my previous Hozelock model 5000 was showing its age.I upgraded to the 20,000+ version which does provide some additional features exampled by improved flow rating,mesh bagged biomedia and larger container.The only disappointment is that the lid & container have a mismatch and do not fully close or lock in their correct position as the lid has been assembled without ensuring they are square.Corner to corner of the lid is warped by at least 25 ml & expect this was apparent at the moulding stage by allowing the moulding to cool unsupported.Should be a better standard for Hozelock at £135.

La lampada uv è molto efficace, nel giro di una settimana l'acqua è limpida ha però un paio di difetti:1-la spugna essendo molto morbida tende ad alzarsi dai lati creando passaggi d'acqua non filtrati a dovere;2- le bolle di ossigeno create dall'acqua in entrata sollevano il sacchetto delle bails per i batteri e dopo pochi giorni il coperchio del filtro si alza dalla pressione;Risolvibili dal costruttore mettendo una retina rigida a supporto della spugna e delle clip migliori al coperchio.

On ne peux pas savoir si la lampe est allumé😰
