You get what you pay for with this adapter
Sound quality? Great for my application, I would not use them for high end recording. Material Quality? Again great for my application, I would not use these where I would be handling them everyday. Excellent value for the money. I am using them to feed a headphone distribution amp from the back of my DISH network DVR.

Red and White RCA connectors are reversed
The cable I received has a problem that I haven’t run into for 20 years with a phono plug or socket, the Left and Right signals are switched on this adapter. It is standard for the Red RCA connector to go to the Ring (Right channel) phono connector and the other RCA connector (usually white) to go to the Tip (Left channel) phono connector, but in this adapter it is reversed. The adapter seems to be OK quality, but to connect properly you need to connect the Red RCA connector to the Left channel of your equipment and the White RCA connector to the Right channel. Connecting the Red to the Right and the White to the Left causes no problem electrically for normal stereo audio use, but your Left and Right channels will be backwards. This could be a current factory assembly problem, and in the past they were correct, and they could be correct again in the future. It is not worth my time to return this mainly because I can make it work, but this does show extremely poor manufacturing quality control. All build steps should be checked before any item goes into mass production, which did not take place here. This item is worthy of a true one-star rating, but since it is not possible to give a zero-star rating, meaning most one-star ratings are truly zero star ratings, I am giving this a two-star rating.
