Quickmill Alexia Espresso Machine

Great espresso maker, and seller has been helpful. I was not happy it did not come with a manual but the seller reconciled this quickly. I hope the machine last many years for the price, however right now its pretty awesome and beautiful asset to have in my kitchen

I purchased this machine from a different vendor after shopping long and hard. The Quick Mill Alexia Evo has all the control I need to extract excellent shots! Temperature is controlled and visible with the PID. It's also handy that it has a countdown timer so I can zero in on a perfect shot. The build quality is over the top. The machine is heavy. The chrome plating is gorgeous. And the polished starless casing is also a work of art. This machine looks and performs like you'd expect from a piece of fine Italian design/engineering. Reminds me of Campagnolo components on my bike. The machine is insanely cool to look at. But what's better than the styling is its performance. It has become very easy to pull consistently excellent shots with this machine. By the way, I never use the milk frother (I just use an old Nespresso Aeroccino whenever I need to heat/froth some milk). If frothing is important to you, the single boiler design may be a chore. But I bought this machine for straight shots and it truly delivers.

Bought from a different vendor, but the machine is fantastic.After vast (really a lot of) research on espresso and machines went for Alexia over Silvia (w or w/o PID) and I think it's a better choice on getting the best out of your money in terms of quality + durability. It's the cheapest machine featuring e61 group which is the commercial standard.Solid build and incredible temperature stability. Relatively easy to learn to use and creates consistent amazing shots. It's a single boiler and thus bears this cons of waiting a bit and switching to steam mode. I would recommend rather for an espresso purist who likes an occassional capuccino rather than capuccino lovers (but still has great steaming power)Pros: Everything about the machine relating to espresso.Cons: That being said,It's a single boiler so you have to switch back and forth for steamYou have to remove the back lid and a couple of screws to get to the thermostat to adjust, which is a bit tricky. (hence recomendation for PID to avoid temp surfing and messing with thermostat)It's a beautiful machine but also requires consistent maintenance and good care to keep functional and shining.It's been about two months of usage and so far so great.
