Air Activated Switch Button with Air Hose, Sink Top Stainless Steel Brushed Push Button for Food Waste Garbage Disposal Part (Short, 2 Inch)

Our jacuzzi pump would not shut off so I looked it up on line and found that it could either be the push button or the switch on the pump. I found this one and decided to try this first and it worked perfectly. I could not replace my old one due to its location. I had to drill a new hole which happed to be located near the pump to the installation was easy. Just unplugged the old line and inserted the new one and it worked just fine.

My whirlpool tub (not a Jacuzzi brand) was installed in 2001 & worked fine except the motor switch died. This tub replaced a 5-ft long, cast-iron from 1958, i.e. it's nothing fancy. I found a couple of how-to videos on YouTube, just to see how to remove/disassemble the switch. The only hard part about my install was gaining access to the old switch. The new switch works perfectly (installed Jan. 2020).

This normally would be a simple job to replace a defective air switch. But, in my case, I had to create a small access opening next to my jetted/ air bubbler tub in order to reach in, remove the old switch, and replace it. My ability to reach in to remove the old and to install the new was severely limited due to the angle of my hands and the reach that I had. In any case, I was glad that I got the extra-long switch (I think it is 2.5 " long -- because I could angle it a bit and then just barely screw on the retainer ring. If I had gotten the shorter version of this switch, I don't think I would have been able to get the retainer ring started onto the threaded body. (My hand was at an extreme angle to the switch, and I was working blind.)The new air switch works fine. It pops up like it is supposed to after being pressed down. My old switch was stuck in the down position and would not pop back up.

Hot tubs have pressure switches which pump a small amount of air into a tube to cause a switch on the motor to turn on or off. These switches periodically go bad. They are basically inexpensive little plastic accordion style air pumps about 2” in size. This was an easy replacement once I got the old one out. Getting the old one out is the challenge because they are often sealed behind finished tile. Once you have access, replacement was easy. In my case, I first thought the switch was bad. I just replaced the switch. Then I learned it was the hose that was broken and purchased this kit. Save yourself the time and by the kit.

I'm glad someone said the push buttons have a design flaw. After 6 years, mine broke half way down the threaded cylinder.Instead of buying the OEM kit with the switch, get this for much less cost, and less waste. The switch box on the disposal did not need replacing.I did not use the tubing supplied since I did not want to change a good connection at the machine. So I just used the original tubing, and hooked it up to the push button (after putting it through the plastic nut of course).It works as good (better?) than the original.

Very easy to install, looks and works great! The part that had to be replaced hadn't been working right for at least 2 years, I wish I had ordered much sooner. For reference the width of the cut out on my jacuzzi is 1 3/4" and it fit perfectly.

Got new countertops and faucet - a nice brushed stainless Delta faucet. Old air switch was polished chrome. Just the button was $20 or so, but found this for much less, and its the entire button assembly, so much easier to replace. Works perfectly with the insinkerator air switch control module. i actually got a new garbage disposal too but its a Wasteking. It works just fine with the same control module in case you're curious about compatibility.

First off, this switch works just as it should. I bought it to replace the switch on my jacuzzi tub, not a garbage disposal. My reason for not giving it 5 stars is, the ad claims it will fit mounting hole up to 1¾ inch which is exactly the size of the hole in my tub. The outside ring on this switch measures 1.775 inches (1¾ is 1.750 inches), so when you tighten down this switch in a 1¾ inch hole it will pull through the hole. I had to make a rubber washer for each side of the tub so the switch wouldn't pull through the hole. It works, but doesn't look very appealing to the wife's eye (that's the only eye that matters lol) and a larger diameter switch would have been a lot quicker to install. The ad should say it fits existing hole up to 1⅝ inch then I could have continued looking for the switch I needed.At the end of the day, yes it works but I'm sure the wife will complain about it until I can find the correct size we need and replace this one.Hope this helps, it's taught me not to rely on ads or reviews, because undoubtedly there are a lot of folks out there that don't have a clue on how to read a measuring device lol.The pic I included shows the black rubber washer I had to make and install so the switch didn't pull through the hole.

Wow works perfect. As described it air switch which I needed for my jacuzzi. My old switch didn't work. This worked had to modification on my porcelain tub. Made the hole larger. It worked.

I don't know why Insinkerator doesn't offer a stainless finish option but this one does the job perfectly.
