They are considerably more sturdy than most of the traditional paper plates that you can buy in the supermarket, and unlike the supermarket paper plates, these are compostable.They are a decent size, 9 inches should be more than adequate for any BBQ or party that you may be planning on using them for. They do have a decent depth "bowl" in them, so you can get plenty of food on just the one plate.They are pretty expensive, way more expensive than your traditional paper plate, but they are much more sturdy than a traditional paper plate. I cannot decide on the value for money question, you'll have to make that decision for yourself. I cannot emphasise enough that they are extremely good quality, but you will have to decide if the current selling price of £8.99 is good value for something that will be used once and then thrown away.

I got these for my daughters birthday party at the weekend. It's a pack of 50 plates and at 10 inches, they are the same as a large dinner plate.I used them for hot food, so the usual kids birthday stuff of nuggets, sausage rolls etc - the plates stayed in shape all the time, they didn't bend or flop, even when sauce was used. They have a lip around the edge too so that kept the food on the plate and stopped any sauces running off.They were sturdy enough to be used a couple of times during the day and for repeated filling so that meant less plates were used overall.Great for a one time party to save on a ton of washing up!

I'm a big fan of these plates. They have become my go to for all family functions where food prep is involved as they are a massive improvement on the old style of disposable paper plates. They're made from biodegradable sugarcane bagasse, which is a both renewable and can be composted easily enough after use, so you don't feel you are adding to waste issues when using disposables.I love that these plates are super sturdy, none of that floppy paper plate business, and they will hold hot and cold food with ease without any oils or anything coming through the material. Also good that they are suitable for the freezer or microwave so they're pretty durable. This ones from iPeak are good quality and we went for the 10 inch size, which could take a lot of buffet items or a full dinner if needed. Value wise they're on par with others of a similar size and finish, so pretty good.Happy to keep using and to recommend to others!

These are a pack of disposable plates that are great for family events or parties.Comes in a pack of 50 which at £10 works out at 20p a plate! The plates them selves are a decent size at 10inch diameter and are sturdy and robust.The major plus point is that the plates are microwave safe but more importantly for me they are biodegradable. They are made from the the fibres left over from sugarcane and hence the plates wont become soggy or leak though.Overall great plates!

Decent size for dinner use, saves on washing up and they are therefore great for occasions and events. Can be disposed of afterwards to decompose, so not adding to plastic waste.

Nothing wrong with these! They're exactly how you expect. Reasonably thick, 10 inch in size, and perfect for us lazy folks who sometimes can't be bothered to do the washing up after! I used these immediately after they arrived, since I often work in the garden, and use them when eating outside, so I don't need to take off my work clothes. All is good. They're biodegradable too, so my laziness can be guilt-free! Happy to recommend.
