ooma 811008021665 HD2 Handset, White

It's hard to describe how disappointed we are with these phones. We use several Ooma devices, including the black HD2, but this one is as near to useless as you can get.- The screen is too dark to be readable under almost any circumstances- Not reliable, would often fail to ring: . several of these white HD2 handsets were paired to the same Telo device, yet only some rang when a call came in. We changed ring tones, ring volume, handset location -- it made no difference, you just couldn't trust that they would work when needed.So far, the only good thing we can say about it is that the batteries are usable in other devices. The phones all went into the trash. We did not even donate them, as we normally would-- it would feel like we were passing on a curse.

I was excited to replace 3 of my Black Ooma Phone. I have had this service over 10 years. My 3 new phones arrived. I plug them in for 24 hours. Followed the step by step instructions. My screen is faded and battery life 0%, 50% and 0%.I called Ooma and talked to them. I plugged all 3 into other plugs in our home. Still no battery life change. I will be retuning all 3. It would have been a great deal. But not worth the headache! Ooma site here I come!

What else, can I say? The LCD display of the phones started out just readable enough when I first got them, even with the brightness set to High (the Low setting makes them virtually unusable), but now that I've had them a couple of months you can't view the screens unless the room is completely dark. The audio is the same - max volume is just legible, what is the point in being able to reduce the audio level from there? Speakerphone, doesn't help much either - it's only slightly louder than what comes out the earpiece. Rediculous! And the phone frequently gets in a mode where it will not answer a call - very frustrating when the phone is ringing so you press the green answer button and it just keeps ringing. Have had several calls that dropped in the middle of conversation when both the Ooma telo base and WiFi base station are less than 10 feet away from the handset, and all in the same room. Also, some of the phones have stopped ringing when a call comes in - I can hear one of the phones upstairs ring and one in the bedroom, but the other two do nothing. They worked a couple of months ago, but no more.In summary, these phones are great deal if you get a lot of telemarketer calls, since you either won't hear the phone ring, or if you do, you won't have to listen to him. Also good if you want to improve your mind since you will have to dial all your friends by hand from memory, since you won't be able to read the directory that you so painstakenly added to it.

I added this to my new Ooma service that was 4 Panasonic battery phones & everything works fine. I like the seperate ringer the Ooma phone has and message to caller from Ooma while already taking a call that I can't answer and gives an option to leave a message or call back. Sound quality was better through Xfinity but not by much. I'm happy this older model phone works with my new wireless Ooma.

Works and does what it said. The only improvement is that the highest setting for brightness is not very bright. The other the ear connection does not work. I should have waited for awhile before entering my review. I am glad I did not pay 49.99 regular price. Should have bought it direct from Ooma.

Seems like a lot of bad ratings for these units. I now have 3 of them. Aside from the rather dim screen in bright light, they all function very well. Custom settings are easy to use. It's a real plus that they use easily replaceable AA rechargeable batteries. There have been no connection problems during usage.

I love the idea of this phone service and the cheap annual cost of having a house line. It was a bit frustrating to set up the Ooma handsets at first but we finally figured it out. It seems to do the job fine so far and I am pleased with my purchase.

Crystal clear sound. Even though I have the oldest Ooma Telo, they designed this H2 phone to be integrated with it easily. The support team walked me through the set-up. It works perfectly for me. Ooma service is great, affordable and dependable. I've had it for five years and just recently bought this phone. It is easy to navigate, too.
