Cracking little portable BBQ
This is a great little BBQ. The advert said black but mine was unfinished stainless steel, which is what I wanted. There is a small amount of assembly required. The legs, handle and vents need to be attached with the supplied nuts & bolts. Note that the vents fit on the inside with the tab sticking through the hole towards the outside. You can open the lid out 180 degrees and rest it on the handle on the ground then use both sides to cook as there are two coal grills and two cooking grills provided. You also get a hook which can be put in holes on the top edges to open the lid about 100 degrees, you can then easily open & close the lid with the hook in place to cook indirectly and/or with a wood smoker box, which gave us lovely wood smoked burgers. In fact, due to the smaller size, I think you get an extra smokey flavour from using this BBQ. The height is more than enough for two layers of coals without burning the food when cooking directly and when I had finished cooking & smoking burgers, sausages, chicken, sweetcorn, peppers and marshmallows for five people, the coals still had a lot of heat left in them. The only con I noted was that the edges are a bit sharp. My open BBQ is going out and I've ordered a large lidded smoker BBQ to get the same flavour but on a larger scale. This portable BBQ will be accompanying us on many trips for years to come.As an aside, I spent a few hours on YouTube watching BBQ videos when I got this and I've totally revised my British BBQ skills of burned meat to produce juicy, well cooked, wood smoked food. Use a chimney starter for your coals. Use two cooking zones so have coals only on one half creating direct & indirect heat zones, indirect heating is best with a closed lid. Use a kitchen paper towel sheet soaked in olive oil and held with tongs to coat your grill prior to cooking. Indent burgers in the centre so they are almost donuts, drizzle with olive oil, add salt & pepper, cook indirectly, the centre will expand when cooked. Put cheese on the burgers for 30 seconds to melt before taking off the BBQ. Toast buns directly for a few seconds. Cook sausages indirectly. Glaze your chicken whilst cooking. Use an iron wood smoker box. Don't cook over flare-ups for too long - don't be afraid to damp down flames with a spray of water. Plus many other tips. Have a look on YouTube. For this BBQ then, I give a Highly Recommended. If storage space is tight, this could be all the BBQ you ever need.

Great pricing and quality.
Stylish and functional. It is usefully compact, but can be opened up, simply by opening the lid all the way, to be used as a larger cooking area. After cooking it can be used as a fire pit. A well designed and bi-useful quality product with great pricing. Nothing not to like. Further, it arrived earlier than expected and well packaged.

Very nice
Very nice, small but I wanted something small and portable. Very happy so far.

Great 👌
This is a great wee portable barbeque. It's very light and so easy to transport. And it was easy to out together. Have used twice now. It can cook a surprising amount of food, enough for 4 adults and 2 kids, with some to spare.

Great portable BBQ. You need this is you BBQ in the park or beach (like me) :)
Absolutely love this BBQ. Purchased to take to the park after work. It looks great and opens up completely to double the cooking area. My friends are all in love with it. At a recent park BBQ i cooked for 18 people (i used 2 ready light coal bags, one for each half). Plus, no burn marks in the grass as it stands on legs (and handle when fully opened). It would be nice to have a clip for cooking utensils or a stronger closing latch. I should note that the latch as not come loose on mine, but i carry this with one hand while cycling on my bike, and if it were to open it would be catastrophic. But that is probably an unusual way to use this.Highly recommended. 5*p.s. Instructions are in German, but it is easy enough to figure from the pictures.

Rubbish - do not buy
On the plus side the portable BBQ arrived on time...but that's where the good news ends.On the negative side the first thing I noticed was that the catch holding the two halves together was broken. This should have started to ring alarm bells but it was something that could easily be fixed. Taking the body of the BBQ out of the box I notice a very large dent on one side at the top. Initially I thought that it had been dented during transport, as there were no protective packaging inside the box and there were several other dents in it as well. However it looks like it was made like this but not by the most skilled worker in the factory. Once I added the vents, even with the vent closed there is still a large hole where the big dent is. The wooden handle had a large split in it, and you can clearly see the quality of the wood leaves a bit to be desired. The lack of instructions threw me for a little time but I did managed to work everything out. As I added the grills for the charcoal, and later the food grills, I notice all of them were either bent out of shape (charcoal grills) or were made too wide in the middle to fit properly (food grill). The whole construction is basic and doesn't give the impression it will last very long either. All these issues leave me feeling that this was either a Friday afternoon special, and the manufacturers just wanted to get out of the door, or someone has taken all the returns and put them in one BBQ. Not impressed!

It is what it is.
As a cheap portable BBQ it fits the bill perfectly i.e. it's cheap, it's portable and it's a BBQ. I shouldn't think it would last very long because the materials it is constructed from are pretty flimsy, but as I said it's cheap, so don't expect too much.I would have rated it slightly higher but for the fact that when mine arrived it already had a fairly substantial dent across both halves of it. A result of it being damaged in transit, and the fact that the packaging consisted of a single cardboard box and a thin, clear plastic bag, which offered very little in the way of protection to the product within.

Amazing little barbecue!
One of my best buys on Amazon. It was easy to assemble and I managed to out it together in 15-20 minutes. It works like wonders. The lid allows you to use it like a barbecue and smoke things, but you can also fold it all the way back to use it as a grilling surface. It's also really easy to clean. Mine looks like new even though I've been using it for a month now. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to grill within space constraints. This little beast does the job without taking up much space. I'll probably buy more to give as gifts to friends!
