Super easy to use and very effective. Used with a 20v portable drill on slow speed.
If you have a clean out at the bottom of chimney then perfect. Access to either top or bottom of chimney will do just right. Only took me 20 min. start to finish for a 30 ft chimney. Sections can connect and disconnect easily. Seems to be very durable but only used it once. I only bent the rods going up my chimney about 20-30 deg. Do't know if I would bend any sharper than this. Slow speed on the drill was fast enough.

You Can Clean Your Own Chimney
I have a woodstove and chimney in my shop. The chimney is about 30' tall. Each year I carefully pass my cell phone with video camera on to inspect the interior of the chimney. This is a great way to see if the interior is sound and how much creosote is on the sides (usually extremely little). However this year I noticed more creosote build up than prior years (perhaps burning low quality wood- boxelder, etc.). So I went online to see if I could find some type of chimney cleaning device. I spent a morning using this brush and poles on my more powerful electric plug-in drill. Most rechargeable drills would not have sufficient power. The poles are flexible enough to make it around curves. It seemed to work well and was easy to use. I did get some creosote/soot off and swept quite a bit out of the accessible trap at the bottom of the chimney. It's pretty inexpensive. I dressed accordingly, wore a mask, safety goggles, and old clothes. I'm 68 years old and found the project pretty easy... I'd recommend a professional chimney cleaning service if you have the money, if not this is a good alternative.

Much better than I expected.
Used this to clean out a 30 foot vertical clay-lined chimney from the fireplace today. Absolutely great. Suggestions to add to the packaging: Turn the heat on high and wait for a cool or cold day with no wind; the heat escaping out of your chimney will vent a lot of the dust. Tape and cover the top front and sides of the fireplace with plastic and just lay the plastic onto the floor of the fireplace. Poke a hole in the plastic, stick the tool through and away you go. I did mine with the drill on "forward" going up and "reverse" on the way down.As you are pulling out and removing the rods from the chimney, hold the rod with a wet rag and spin the rod as you pull it out, as they do get dirty. Place the rods onto a drop cloth as they come out. The rods come apart easier if they are straight, so try to take the bend out of them. I got (no joke) 3/4 of a joint compound bucket of creosote and I did cleanup with the regular upright vacuum.PS-Don't push too hard! You're hitting the chimney cap! Stop there when you get moderate back pressure or you'll knock the cap off.

This actually works great, cuts through stubborn blockage
I have bought two, even though the first one still works perfectly. For decades I have used the two person, one on the roof, one in the basement chimney brush on a rope cleaning method. I never thought that a 360 degree string trimmer chimney cleaner would clean the chimney. NEWS FLASH, it does a better job than the brush, only requires one person, and no one has to risk going up on the roof. The second one is in reserve just in case. Also, the nylon rods are high quality. Best investment I have made for chimney maintenance. Also, I have the drill set on right hand turning going in, and left hand turn coming out. Who knew?

Pretty happy.
I could never get anybody out to clean my chimney. Mainly because of the pitch of my roof. I mean, I'm not going up there either. Finally finding someone I arranged for a chimney sweep to come out and after explaining my roof situation and sending some pictures, he said that wasn't a problem. He had a system where he could do it all from below. Cool. When he never showed up I researched this system and found this.I bought it a little over a year ago, and I think I've cleaned my chimney three times already. We have almost daily fires in the fireplace. Especially this winter season where we have all day fires since we don't go anywhere due to Covid. It only takes about an hour. If you've ever had a chimney fire, you can't sweep it too often. I can do mine all from my basement where I don't have to be too careful about the mess. Which is minimal anyway. My chimney is a straight shot so it's easy. But the manufacture claims 90 degree bends aren't an issue. The 33' of poles in this kit were the perfect length to go all the way to the top of our chimney. When it starts to smell smoky in the house while having a fire, I know it's time to clean it. The wood I'm burning this year is probably not as dry as it could be, so you get more buildup that way. Since it was smelling smoky the other day I swept the chimney yesterday and Christina cleaned out the fireplace. It really needed it. I was surprised how dirty it was.At $200 a pop for a chimney sweep, assuming you can even find one to come out (I've probably called 20 over the years prior to getting this), it's been a pretty good investment at $86.

Bad design
Reviews were good, looked like it should work...tried it for the first time and it did not go well. The "chrome button locking system" didn't amount to anything. Buttons should be longer to really 'lock' in. The rods kept coming apart, which made a ten minute job turn into an hour since I had to tape each section together so I wouldn't lose a rod! Not worth the money in my opinion.

Messy
Be prepared to clean up soot in your house — since you run it from the fireplace up the chimney, you can’t close the fireplace doors to contain the soot. Once of my extension rods broke the first time I tried to use it — thankfully I had more than I needed.

Easy to use.
The design on the Bristles contours the shape of the liner and gets into the ribs of the liner. I will put electric tape as hash markers so you know how far you have gone. It is easy to lose track of the distance the brush had traveled for a thorough cleaning very the speed of your drill.
