I ordered this book since I've been a fan of Popular Mechanics magazine for a log time. Some bits of it are amazing, and some are simply bits you'd think of if you had some intuition and imagination. Overall, nice book for those who just started their own rental property business,first home purchase, tight budget, etc., and do not want to pay exuberant cost of hiring a company or a hired hand so to speak, to fix something cheaply, and on your own.

I strongly recommend for every home owner if nothing more than for reference. It could help you from being fleeced by a handyman or shady craftsman. A must have book for the DIY. Loaded with good quick fixes and tips to get you out of a bind. In some cases the repairs are good enough for long-term. I like to do a lot of the work around the house myself, this book gives me tips on tools, tips and tricks to make jobs easier or quicker to complete. Heck, now my wife likes to help and that's a good thing.

This is the book I've been looking for! It has brief, clear explanations of all too common household problems and how to fix them. I found answers to two of mine in minutes. Excellent value.

Provides mostly common sense solutions to home fix it issues. Did find a few new temporary quick fixes until a pro could be called in.

I recommend this product.

Humorous style and a DIY informative teaching aid I always find books to be written in this style enjoyable to read and a real learning experience.
