Necoichi Cat Cozy Scratcher Bowl (Simple)

Both cats immediately loved this bed, and we do have many in the apartment. However, since they used it so frequently I thought it time for a cleaning & took out the top (pad) piece. Some of the wound corrugated cardboard popped out of it's home right away & the more I tried pushing it back in the more the rest of the cardboard strip started to ping out. With both cats now agog with excitement over this new attribute their fave bed seemed to have. They watched me as I desperately tried unwinding the whole thing as they proceeded to think this was just part of the game & kept jumping on all the brown spirals which were springing forth. I finally got the whole thing re-wound back up again & pushed it back into it's base. However, even though I'd tried to give it a good tight wind, it wasn't good enough as they was a kind of stepped look to it anytime you pushed it in. I know this didn't bode well for one rather portly feline & one very sprightly bouncy kitten. I was right. The photos speak for themselves. The first photos show the perfect bed as it should be. The 2nd...well...Oh-the rating?It's a 3 for me but a 5 for the cats, since they love every aspect of it including the fact that it all comes apart in your living room:)

My cat loves this bed. He prefers sleeping on cardboard scratchers to a soft bed & prefers the round ones. This product is larger & looks very sturdy. However after a week (7 days exactly) the cardboard rings became separated. My kitty loved it even in pieces but the price vs length of use was prohibitive. I will send it back & try some of the competitors hoping for all our sakes a replacement can be found!!

Awesome cat bed and scratcher!. Although my 3 cats don't sleep in it, they love scratching in it. In fact, they line up and take turns scratching. It is so funny to watch! There is just something about cardboard that they love to scratch it, and I think they really enjoy the angle of the bowl for scratching. The scratcher comes in two parts: the base and the cardboard insert, which is awesome because then the scratcher can be flipped when it gets worn on one side and they scratch the other side until it is scratched through. Then you can get a replacement insert and not have to buy a whole new bed. When someone knocked the scratcher over and the insert was flat on the ground, the cats loved scratching on it just like that, too. Anyway you look at it, you can't go wrong with this product.

My cat loves her “bowl”. Unfortunately she is very defiant and does not scratch on anything I explicitly purchase for her to scratch on. But that is more of a personal issue for her than an issue with the product. She really likes sleeping and batting around balls in this.My only issue is that the wood looking paper on the side peels off to reveal cardboard. When it arrived to me there was a corner sticking up already which quickly turned into about a 4 inch strip missing.So if you don’t really care about the aesthetic and your cat likes normal scratching toys this is probably perfect for you.

The cats loved this....probably too much but as others have stated, it is fairly flimsy. We have 2 cats and this cat bed was completely destroyed around 2 weeks after placing it down for them (see pic). It stayed in this spot the entire time and then just started to unravel after a time. We have several other cardboard "beds" that have lasted years but they're not constructed like this bed. Was loving it before it became unraveled as it looked much nicer than our other beds.

This bed was a hit with the cats, so much so that we immediately ordered a second one. We had previously purchased a scratcher bed made entirely of cardboard, and one cat tore it to pieces inside 2 weeks. The hard shell on this bed will prevent that kind of thing, and it's great that the interior can be replaced without buying a whole new bed. It's wide and deep enough that even our largest cat can curl up it, and the interior holds up under scratching well.

All three of our cats LOVE this. This is their go-to spot to sit, curl up, and scratch. I love that it is not an eye-sore like other products similar to this, plus I can just buy a new scratcher insert when it gets worn out!For a cardboard scratcher I was surprised how sturdy it is. The cats can really stretch out and scratch at this and it stays put in its corner.

I really wanted to like this, as did my cat. Unfortunately, it's just not put together very well. It's attractive, which I like as it sits in my living room, but the cardboard scratching area keeps falling apart. She tried to sit in the bed and it moves under her as it falls apart and she hates that. I am constantly trying to put it back together with scotch tape. This is too expensive for this sort of hassle. Will not buy again.
