Works Great, Excellent Price
I had acquired a new headset and realized that the connection on the headset was one 3.5 MM jack. It worked fine on my laptop but my desktop has separate connections with one slot for the mic and one slot for the speakers/audio out.The KingTop Headset Splitter Cable 3.5mm Female to 2 Male for PC Computer is designed to connect the one connector from the headset to the two connection slots on the computer. The 3.5 MM male connectors are color coded and icon marked making it easy to identify the correct slot on the PC . The audio out has two green bands on the pin as well as an icon of the headset. The mic slot has two red bands on the pin as well as an icon of a mic.The cable is a flat ribbon so it should not coil, twist or tangle. The cable splitter is about 7.5ā long, black in color. The connection is firm and secure. The sound quality was excellent ā both on the mic and the audio out ā headphones. This is an excellent Y cable splitter for a PC. It appears to be high quality materials and should last a long time.Excellent cable Y Splitter at a competitive price.

Super necessary to use with my PC and Headset
I have a headset, but can not use the mic and headphones simultaneously with my PC. Problem completely solved with this cord; happy I found it as I could only find 1 male to 2 female at all my surrounding electronics stores.

Excellent splitter, just not for my particular scenario...
I bought this, hoping it would enable the use of my PC headset on my Xbox 360. In theory, it did exactly what I needed; split the single auxiliary cable on my PC gaming headset (Logitech G633) into a separate mic and audio channel. I used a 3.5 to 2.5mm auxiliary adapter to allow the mic channel to plug into the headset jack on the 360 controller. Then I plugged the audio channel into the headphone port on my optical audio splitter/amplifier which receives the game audio from my Xbox 360... It worked, except the mic was so quiet, no one could hear me on Xbox LIVE without me borderline SCREAMING, and with no way to adjust the sensitivity of the mic, I abandoned this approach... I found a different way to achieve my goal, involving the same headset, but using my desktop microphone for communication instead. See my review of the aforementioned 3.5 to 2.5mm adapter if you are trying to achieve a similar goal. (review not posted yet, working on it)As far as this cable goes, it is excellent as long as you are using it for conventional purposes, and I'm sure I will find an application for it eventually.

Does what it is suppose to with a little feedback
I needed to connect a headset with a multi-media 3.5 mm jack to two separate 3.5 mm ports, ie head phones and microphone. This inexpensive device completed the task perfectly with one exception, feed back.Apparently any audio I have playing into the headset part bleeds out into the microphone input, I thought perhaps it was the headset itself but I tested this myself by removing the headset from the equation. I placed the splitter into the appropriate ports and left the headset disconnected. My party could still hear any audio I played through the PC via the bleed over, no headset connected. It is minimal as lowering the audio volume does seem to lessen the bleed over however I would not recommend using this for conference calls or any situation where you would expect to mute your mic and not have the other party hear you as the bleed over may just betray you. For casual use and gaming voice communications it should be just fine so long as your listening party doesn't mind hearing your game audio as well, or at least muted so if you turn it down.

Perfect for using my iphone headset with pc.
I purchased this splitter so i could use my phone earbuds as a mic and headset for my pc and it is AWESOME. Its a wire that appears very sturdy and stylish enough for my tastes, it plugged right in and worked terrifically. The specific thing im most tickled over is the packaging this arrived in (not the shipping packaging) The splitter itself came in this cute little brown paper/plastic pouch with a zip lock top. It just felt so great in my hands and displayed the product great, it even feels like its environmentally friendly. I will be looking at kingtop products in the future.

Far from cheap plastic, if you want a solid connection, this is the choice.
RidgedFirmSnapWhen I first got this product I was a bit taken a back by how small the package was. Guess I expected it for some reason to be waaaay bigger. My skepticism aside, this product is quite marvelous. Soft bendable flat sections of wire that don't kink or twist like the other one I had does. The ends are firm and strong, not cheap plastic like most others, it makes me feel good that the split is just as good as the original core that I'm splitting.Do keep note, there is a rather obvious "click" when you plug your headset into it. Took me awhile to figure out why my sound seemed off, just wasn't "snapped" all the way in.
