Quantum Leap - Complete Series [DVD]

Sound sync is a little kaka...
Firstly, this is a fantastic show. And it looks clear and sharp in HD (except some effects shots in the last series which are of a slightly lesser quality). But there's a recurring issue with the audio being fractionally out of sync with the picture. Characters' lips will move before any sound emerges etc. It comes and goes (sometimes within the same episode) and is easily overlooked, but depending on how sensitive you are to these things it can spoil the enjoyment somewhat.

All time favourite
Everyone should be made to watch this, I think it would probably fix the world overnight.

Great Product.. But No Subtitles
I think this is a great package.. but as my girlfriend is not a native English speaker, some subtitles are needed.... I could not believe there were none at all .. in any language (what about people with hearing issues?)... and the Audio Options are only in English... For this I am disappointed.. but there is nothing to be done.... nothing bad apart from that... all else perfect!

Quantum leap Blueray boxset
I've put off getting this boxset for years and have recently started looking for it again. But the price elsewhere put me off, Amazon's price made me buy it.Ordered Thursday afternoon and it was delivered Friday pm.So 4 episodes in and glad I've finally purchased it. The blu-ray versions picture quality is very good and better than I remember it when it was shown originally on television, ok it's in 4:3 format but it's still sharp and colourful. All 5 seasons are there and around 76 hours of viewing to look forward to. Just remember it's more episodic that modern TV programmes and it only has a simple story arc in comparison to modern television shows, but they did introduce one or two things later into it's run. Featuring the Evil leaper, jump back home. But the most memorable episodes featured Jimmy. Trying to not give spoilersAnyone into science fiction or classic television should get this. Glad I have finally bought it.

Jumbled up teasers, but still brilliant
I love Quantum Leap, but as others have no doubt noted there is the odd problem with this collection. If you've watched the show, you'll remember that at the end, Sam Beckett leaps into another person and you get a teaser about what's coming next episode. In this collection, the teasers for the next episodes seem to be a bit jumbled up, which is irritating, but not the end of the world. Doesn't take away from this being a brilliant series.

Incredible series. A 'must-see' for everyone
One of the best series ever produced. A delight in blu ray, especially as all the original music and songs have been restored. (M.I.A isnt M.I.A without Georgia).Only compliant is that some episodes have poor audio synchronization. This was especially evident in the first half of season 2. This is a technical error with the post processing of the format, so won't be resolved with a replacement.Otherwise, aside from a lack of special features, this is an incredible show that is a must see for everyone and deserves high praise.

Quantum Leap what next?
We have a problem with this box set. We have been on holiday but are now into "The Complete Second Season". Disc 3 and Disc 4 will not play, it is not a problem with our system as Discs 1 & 2 still work perfectly as does Disc 5.We are in a situation where the Second Season needs replacing and further sets need checking. Can you sort this please?David SermonThis problem has still to be resolved - what action are you taking?

Great birthday present
So, I ordered this for my birthday back in september and it came alright. I haven't reviewed it because I wanted to actually watched all the episodes and see if all discs worked alright. On that camp, I have no issues: the box it's super sturdy and protects the disc cases inside, the discs were all used but in relatively good shape (the TV-show is really old, so the quality is not the best and it doesn't come with any sort of subtitles nor extras). One episode is present in two different discs, but I think That's got more to do with whomever was in charge of the dvd set production. All in all, I am pretty happy with my purchase and would recommend to anyone who wants to catch up with one of the greatest shows of the 90's.
