ENGINEERING STUDENTS: This is worth it!
Computer engineering and EE students, you need one of these. It takes you an eighth of the time to draw a recognizable gate, it's perfect, and you don't even have to try.Buy one or two fewer beers this weekend (this isn't exactly cheap) and invest in this quality instrument which will improve your life significantly. On those tests that are intentionally too long to complete in the allotted time, these give you one heck of an edge and your work is clear and neat.You will walk as a god among mortals with this template, pumping out professional-quality work by hand without even putting forth significant effort. Look with pity among the fools that did not heed this wisdom as they struggle to make their hastily-drawn AND gates not look like terribly-drawn ORs, with askew and disproportionate lines, as you crap out beautiful work just by slapping down this template and just by wildly flailing a mechanical pencil around the perimeter of the symbol! Finish in half the time with perfect work, and bask in the glory of your own awesome decision to buy one of these.I had two of these, and for your Digital Logic classes "you can't go no better".

👏
Works fine for what I needed it for. Mechanical pencils work well with this template.

High Quality Electronic Component Template
For the few stalwarts who still enjoy drawing out a schematic by hand--this is a find template. Made of heavy, but flexible plastic--it is quite durable.Includes outlines for the following: antennas, JFETs, MOSFETs, bipolar transistors, diodes, R, L, C, transformers, lamps, switches, batteries, crystals, speakers, microphones, pickup heads, op amps, logic gates (AND/OR/NAND/NOR/buffer/inverter).

The template of the Symbols..
Was just as described and just what I wanted and I didn't have to rob a bank to buy a template this time!If your at all like me it's a little hard to draw the tiny symbols, use this with a fine point pen and you in business.Quick delivery too.

static electricity on the plastic
The template is very nice, but the one I have sticks to any type of paper, because it has a constant static charge. If you turn it over it is ok, but then you are unable to read the template . I would not recommend anyone purchasing this item.

Decent enough
The space for your pencil/pen is nearly a mm wide, so you'll get some slop while using it with a smaller pencil. Also, because of the width, the symbols may look distorted since the spacing will be that much greater. For example, the ground symbol looks fine with a 1mm pencil, but the legs look too far apart with a 0.5mm pencil.

Nice, but not very durable
I too really enjoy the amount of symbols for drawing my own schematics, but as far as "heavy... quite durable", I would have to disagree. It is flexible but from my experience (I bought two) is somewhat delicate -- The 1st one broke as I was removing the plastic (just a break on the side though so not a deal breaker).I am going to try the Rapidesign Electro Logic Template (http://www.amazon.com/Rapidesign-Electro-Logic-Template/dp/B004IUPG2U/ref=pd_rhf_cr_p_t_2) next and hope it is a little thicker plastic to hold up to the wear and tear of a student's backpack.

Looks and works great!
Used to draw electronic symbols for quick paper design brainstorming.
