I remove the safety switch which is retarded. A little overpriced but good quality
Self contemplated I've tried a few different brands I haven't bought them on here but I've got them through adorama and B&h. Didn't like them them. I think the cost is a little expensive for the three-legged clamp. I didn't really like the lock feature It's a pain in the ass to push that button in and use a relief. It holds the camera tight I use a peak design capture clip on the bottom of my l bracket I'll provide pictures. The peak design fits the flawlessly into it. But my SmartReg l bracket for my Panasonic DC g9 It's just a tad different still Arcus with size but it seems to be just a little bit bigger. It still fits in there perfectly fine but when you go to clamp it down it's just super tough. And then when you have to push that button in and slide it it's just a bugger. so what I did I'll provide in the pictures I actually removed that little switch It's made life a lot better. There's a little screw that you can also adjust the tension on the lever which I have. But but the little safety lock is retarded. As for what other reviewers saying there's no screw there is no screw but if you already have a ball head you should be able to unscrew the top plate and use that same screw It's got notches in it so it sits in it perfect. I also use a Colorado tripod ball head medium size and a small size on my tripods. I think I may buy another one for my other tripod heead for my other tripod. The price is a little steep but it is nice minus the damn safety switch. Or just make a push in button so when you release the lever it's so much easier. But anyways I'm over all happy with it. Minus the safety switch which is retarded.

Works great in 5 mins. Adjust the fit w/ inc hex key, and get a 3/8" to1/4" screw adapter on Amazon.
A couple things to know, the threaded hole is the size of many tripods, not the tripod heads I own. A tripod mount at the top is typically 1/4"-20, and there are screw in adapters then will go in the clamp to fit the 1/4" tripod screw; I bought some on the same order.Arca Swiss plates may vary a little in size, but I've never noticed with screw down clamps. With the lever, when it is closed, there is an hex head screw to adjust the fit. The clamp includes the hex key and the insert probably had instructions to use it. It took a couple of minutes and a little adjustment to get it tight when closed to the camera couldn't move, and loose when open so it could easily slip out.I bought this clamp to go on a gimble because my cameras have Arca Swiss plates permanently attached and I don't want to screw and un-screw the mount. I needed the lever because of the narrow clearance on the gimble. This clamp fits perfectly.

Works great and s secure.
Love this clamp, I actually bought 2. Maybe a bit pricy but I feel my camera is secure and that is worth it for me.

Doesn’t fit same manufacturer ball head
I bought this for my 3Legged Thing Tripod & ball head - and it doesn’t fit the ball head neck! You’d think that of all the gear available to fit, that this would fit stuff from the same manufacturer!

Great alternative clamp for secure lock but be sure you know how to adjust width!!
I've had this little item for years and love it. I sometimes need to use an ARCA clamp on equipment where the knobs most clamps have create problems so this can save the day there. I also often clamp a camera onto a crane or mast so knowing how securely this locks gives me peace of mind. However after using it with many plates one day I wanted to clamp in a new nodal rail which had a more narrow width so (like another reviewer reports) it wasn't clamping tightly at all and it could have fallen out. Turns out the widths of ARCA plates/rails can vary so I looked and found the allen screw head shown in the photograph (see red arrow). Tighten this and the clamp is compatible for narrower plates or rails (which solved my problem and would have solved the other reviewer's concern) or loosen the screw and it will work with wider plates (everything else I have used on it before). But be sure you get it right. Place the plate, rail, etc., you want to clamp in and after adjusting make sure the orange lever can close snuggly in the fully locked position (not before it fully locks). It's that locking feature that you want. In taking the rail off the clamp to make this photo I realized I had made the width slightly too narrow so it was closing pretty well but not locking 100%. Great device but read the instructions thoroughly (I tossed it out but I'm sure its in there...).

Very bad
Doesn't close all the way, my camera almost fell when spinning.
